Karen Jensen was a theatre major and studied with Uta Hagen in New York City.  After relocating to Minnesota, she raised two children, Zak and Tina, with her husband, Bob.  Karen served on the Hopkins, Minnesota City Council and was the city liaison to the Hopkins Human Rights Commission and Park Board.  She was chosen Outstanding Young Minnesotan by the Jaycess in 1993, founded the Turn Off The Violence Rally, and was a founding board member of the Hopkins community theatre Shoestring Players.  Recently retired, Karen still lives in Hopkins with her husband, Bob, and spends as much time as possible reading to her two grandchoos.
